- the creation of new exchange opportunities between the research bodies and the production sector
- a drive towards internationalisation
-an increase in competitiveness with spin-off actions

HOW WE WORK

In a region characterized by high number of research centres and institutions of excellence as well as by a business network made up mainly of small and medium-sized enterprises, AREA Science Park’s technology transfer service is based on specific actions; its aim is to satisfy the real needs of companies by carrying out a new and personalized transfer of expertise and skills.
The system can provide solutions, innovative under every aspect, and which integrate services aimed at increasing business competitiveness by promoting the creation of spin-offs, enhancement of research and advanced training.

Since 1997,  AREA started to use its extensive knowledge of the sector in order to set up a series of initiatives to disseminate innovation and put an active “door to door” network at the service of businesses.

Staff is specifically trained to work as “technology broker”: they visit companies and, from time to time, they identify our most appropriate the solutions to their needs. It can be achieved thanks to the consolidated cooperation with a network of experts,  from research bodies, universities and the consultancy sector.

Visiting companies, evaluating their needs, arranging contacts with experts, providing project follow-up, making sure that objectives have been achieved: these practices optimize time and resources, and provide businesses with steady assistance during all stages of innovation.
