SERVICES FOR RESEARCHERS
Knowledge investment increases production sector potential and encourages the transfer of
technology to businesses. Enhancing competences and research findings lays the foundations for a
sound interaction between research bodies and companies.
Enhancing research findings
In 2001, thanks to the collaboration of research institutes within the area and to funding
from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, AREA Science Park was able to initiate the creation of
a permanent system for effective
transfer of knowledge
, competences and innovations already existing within the region’s research system to
businesses.
In particular, AREA has developed an enhancement process for research findings, which is the
most effective way of organizing procedures and activities necessary to transfer research findings
onto the market.
Enhancing competences
In order to develop its own activities of
technology transfer and diffusion of innovations, AREA Science Park collaborates
with the network of experts within the Friuli Venezia Giulia research system. It represents a
unique source of expertise, constantly monitored, so that up-to-date information on know-how
availability in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region can be readily accessed.
As a result; AREA is constantly able to offer opportunities for collaboration with
businesses to researchers and academic staff.
