"CONSORTIUM" The AREA Science Park Consortium manages and promotes the Science and Technology park called AREA Science Park, the first science park in Italy, established in 1978, coinciding with the creation of the most important and prestigious international parks. In 1999 the Consortium became a National Research Body.Since 2005 it is a 1st level National research body of the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).Today AREA is one of the main role players in the research system of Friuli Venezia Giulia and one of the most active promoters of technology transfer at national level. The Consortium is conscious of its points of excellence and aims to act as a national agency for the promotion and management of innovation processes in companies and public administration, striving to develop the international aspects of its role.
LOCATION
The registered and operational office of the AREA Science Park Consortium is the Campus in Padriciano (Padriciano 99, 34012 Trieste).
