AREA Science Park includes two Campuses, located in Padriciano and Basovizza, occupying 55 hectares on the Karst plateau behind Trieste and its gulf, in a natural setting of rare beauty.
The Science and Technology Park offers offices and laboratories fitted with dedicated technological systems, specific equipment, services and common areas, utilities and auxiliary structures.
New functional spaces were completed at the end of 2005 and now the total built-up surface area is of about 91,000 square metres.
Two decentralised poles have been established in Pordenone (in 2002) and Gorizia (in 2004) to promote innovation throughout the regional territory.
