"AREA Nobel" Listening to a Nobel Prize winner or to an internationally-renowned scientist who could be a candidate for this famous award is not an every-day experience. We imagine them as distant figures in their laboratories, committed heart and soul to study, burning the midnight oil at their reading. But at AREA Science Park, we offer you the opportunity to meet these intriguing characters. This is why we have organised AREA Nobel, a cultural initiative including a series of high-profile encounters aimed at making science more accessible. These have involved Nobel Prize winners and scientists of the very highest calibre working in various spheres. The AREA Nobel lectures are open to anyone who is interested and offer the chance to hear first-hand accounts from academics who provide inspiring examples of lives dedicated to science. The encounters are completely free and open to all. Robert Mundell, 1999 Nobel Prize winner in Economic Sciences, and Linda Buck, 2004 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine have taken part in previous encounters.
