Volatile Organic Compound Extraction Technology in the Production of Reinforced Plastic Materials
Angelo Cortesi, Hydrotech srl (Trieste)

Reinforced plastic manufacturers need to reduce the amount of volatile organic compounds in the workplace and their emission into the environment. These substances are particularly damaging to our health and the task of removing them is not always easy, due to the particular nature of the production processes involved.

This study provides a general picture of regulations and implemental tendencies, indicating currently available extraction technology with relative applicability, advantages and disadvantages. It offers numerous ideas for providing environmental protection whilst keeping the cost of ecological systems within acceptable limits.
