Binasp
Structures to serve science

BINASP (Bio-Nanotechnology European Infrastructure in AREA Science Park) is a complex project with a technological and research infrastructure. It comes under the integrated bionanotechnologies sector and was devised to promote the Molecular Biomedicine Technological District at European level.

BINASP was set up in the second half of 2005 and will run for five years.
It aims to create facilities of excellence for carrying out research activities, testing and specialized training in the fields ofbiotechnology and integrated nanotechnology.

The project will lead to the set up of a series of laboratories suitable for multidisciplinary research groups and for action groups working on the economic exploitation of research findings. The laboratories will be located in the new, specially designated PS&T area in the Molecular Biomedicine Technological District.
