"HEPATOCYTE GENOMICS"

Medical Research

This project is intended to establish the functional genomics of normal hepatic tissue and the most frequent hepatic lesions.
Sponsored and coordinated by AREA Science Park, the project was approved by the Ministry of Universities and Research in 2002, qualifying for the FISR (special additional fund for research) 2001 funding tender for research projects of strategic importance.

The strong point of the research is the cooperation between some of the parties involved in the development of the Technological District of Molecular Biomedicine, especially the grouping, managed and coordinated by AREA Science Park, of the CSF— Centre for the Study of Liver Diseases of the Fund for Liver Diseases, the ICGEB (International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology) and the University of Trieste research centres.
