"TALENTS"

Get your ideas moving - don’t stand still!

Since April 2005, AREA Science Park has been promoting a regional mobility programme called International Fellowships Programme “Talents”.

Talents seeks to stimulate scientific potential within the region by increasing qualified human resource capital and the exchange of knowledge.

The project envisages the periodic announcement of mobility fellowships funded by various bodies for the selection of young and experienced researchers with high-level scientific skills.

Talents aims to set up a regional innovation network which would enhance the cooperation between the world of research and that of industry. It would also promote the transfer to the region’s production system of innovative knowledge acquired from research and technology transfer centres, innovation centres and universities.

The essential characteristics of the research activities covered by this programme are that they should be interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, original and innovative.

Particular attention is consequently paid to long-term research activities within the region which are likely to continue beyond the duration of the research fellowships occasionally announced.

At the same time, the potential for setting up useful and stable networks of excellence within specific scientific areas, i.e. reinforcing durable links between regional, national and foreign institutions in order to set research in an international context, is considered a priority.
