The Advanced School in Biomedical Data Management begins in autumn
October will see the start of the two-year high-specialisation school for the statistical analysis and automated management of data resulting from medical, biological and natural studies and trials.
At the end of the course, the students will possess the necessary skills and abilities to create and manage databases; conduct experimental and clinical studies based on observations, with skills in organisational, technical and legal areas; prepare and implement an appropriate statistical analysis plan for biomedical data.
The Advanced School in Biomedical Data Management is open to 20 students. It is designed for doctors, researchers and medical and hospital managers with a degree in Medicine or Dentistry; healthcare workers with a degree in Nursing Science;graduates, PhD students, postgraduates and researchers preferably with a degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Psychology, Pharmacy, Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences or Statistics; public and private workers in the healthcare, biomedical or pharmaceutical sector with no degree, but with significant, proven experience in research and/or the management of clinical studies.
Sponsored scholarships will be available, covering all or part of the costs.
Applications must be received by 30th September 2006.
