Abstract

A Dutch SME, active in product development for the medical sector, is looking for a small sized module for wireless LAN applications. They would like to meet a company that can supply a customized item in small volumes. The partner should have expertise in wireless LAN applications, combined with embedded technologies and preferable in house engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

Description

A Dutch SME develops and builds custom equipment based on requests from healthcare practitioners and on their own ideas. Thanks to our long industrial experience and partner network, they can efficiently design produce and market durable, high quality equipment that meets the real needs of medical professionals and their patients. For a new product development project the company is looking for a module for wireless LAN applications to apply in a small handheld device and to be integrated with embedded electronics. This may be a chip or small printed circuit board. Till now a desk search did not result in a optimal solution. The module is needed in comparatively small quantities.

Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements of the request

Technological specifications that have to be met: Small dimensions. WLAN 54Mbit (802.11g) with a fast (SPI) interface up till max 66MHz, low power consumption and software drivers/support for Analogue Device Blackfin family. To be connected to a DSP. Preferably with an integrated antenna.
