Abstract

An Italian PMI working in the wellness and music therapy sector wants to develop the design concept of a wellness-therapeutic couch to be used as interior decor element of yachts and boats. From the tool developed should be invented many other wellness solutions. The enterprise is searching partner in the naval sector for further development regarding an application of this tool onboard.

Description

An Italian SME developed a patent on a tool from which acoustic waves are converted into vibrations. The sound delivered from professional equipment, capable of covering a frequency spectrum comprised between 20 and 20.000 Hz, spreads its vibration to the whole structure of the couch up to the body of the person laid down on it. The system enables users to free themselves of any accumulated physical and psychological tension. It could be used both as a therapeutic and as a wellness tool. The enterprise is looking for subjects with excellent experience in engineering and material design for boat furniture. The music frequencies diffusion is narrowly influenced by the material’s properties and by how the element has been designed. Excellent skills in this area are necessary in order to develop a product capable of fitting the needs of the market.
