Title
Cogeneration of electricity and heat by a special turbine (Ref: 09 FR 38m9 3D51 )
DeadlineMon, March 29, 2010
AbstractA French company specialised in highly efficient, cost-effective and novel
pollution free alternative energy sources has developed a special turbine which is able to produce
electricity when connected to an external alternator and heat at the same time. This turbine is non
conventional since it is doing work for free when the pump necessary to launch the turbine has been
disconnected. The company is looking for a license agreement or a joint-venture.
DescriptionA French company specialised in highly efficient, cost-effective and novel pollution free
alternative energy sources has developed a special turbine which is able to produce electricity
when connected to an external alternator and heat at the same time. This turbine is non
conventional since it is doing work for free when the pump necessary to launch the turbine has been
disconnected. There are two mechanisms in competition concerning the rotation of the rotor, one is
the losses induced by the viscosity forces and the other one is the free work done by the force of
nature. When the critical speed of the rotation of the rotor is reached, the power produced by this
force of nature is greater than the power produced by the losses. When the critical break-even is
reached, the external pump needed to launch the system can be disconnected. The company is looking
for a license agreement or a joint-venture.

Innovation and advantages of the offer
When the turbine is fully operational, the energy necessary to launch the turbine is not
needed any more since the work of the force given by nature is free, therefore we can reach over
unity like in the heat pump case. The turbine is able to produce both electricity and heat without
pollution. The company is open to any kind of license agreement or joint-venture.
